Limited to 6 dogs per class in our customised, secure, indoor facility

Tricks are both enjoyable and can be extremely useful, they are learned physical and mental skills, practiced to perfection. Dog tricks are no different from basic obedience commands.

The good thing about tricks is that everybody smiles, laughs and giggles — the best reward of all. In fact, in no time at all, performing the trick becomes self-reinforcing and may become a reward for other exercises. Asking the dog to “Give a high five” is a great reward for a good down-stay on greetings and allowing the dog to jump through our arms becomes a rewarding finale for a lightning recall. Have fun with your dog. Join the trick training course.

Scent work is when a dog uses its natural sense of smell to identify and locate a scent which it has been trained to detect.  Dogs have a highly sensitive nose, vastly superior to our own.  Scent work is a natural behaviour for a dog and essential in hunting and finding prey. As man’s best friend, this behaviour has been put to many uses – for example in police work, search and rescue, and hunting.  As a dog sport, Scent work has emerged from detection style nose work as practiced by customs and excise, search and rescue and medical detection dogs. All levels welcome.
