Canine Freestyle Workshop
In this one-day workshop, Kim will share how to train freestyle moves and sequences and increase your dogs’ confidence and motivation to learn.
You will learn amongst other things:
· How to teach freestyle moves which are stable and reliable
· Ways to progress and make your current freestyle moves more interesting.
· Increase your current repertoire of moves
· How to build strong chains /sequences
· Learn how to develop fluent transitions that flow
Kim competes at the top level in the UK with her dogs in Heelwork to Music Freestyle. She got to the Crufts HTM Freestyle finals 5 years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019) with her Red Tri Border Collie, Tyler. She came runner up 3 times in a row.
Kim and Tyler where selected to represent Great Britain in the Open European Freestyle Championships in Belgium in August 2017 where they successfully made the top 10 individual freestyle finals as well as being part Great Britain team to win the Freestyle Championship for the very first time.
Kim has been competing in the sport for about 7 years with Tyler. Archie, her 5-year old Pyrenean Sheepdog is also in Advanced Freestyle and is now currently working in Crufts Qualifiers. The newest member of her team Rio, a Red and White Border Collie who has just started competing.
Kim is a qualified judge in the sport and Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner
