Prices are also shown in the 'Book this class online' section in the puppy and beginner sections as part of the booking process
Dogs must complete level 1 training before booking onto level 2.
Ensuring that any training gaps are picked up at foundation level1, that the dog is taught to concentrate on their owner around other dogs and people.
Your Dog
The Control of Dogs Order 1992 states that ‘any dog in a public place should wear the name and address of the owner either inscribed on the collar or a name plate or disc attached to it’.
With effect from 6th April 2016, it is a legal requirement in England, Scotland and Wales for dogs to be microchipped, therefore all dogs attending must be microchipped.
Temporary barriers are regularly used between dogs to help those that struggle, we will guide you with the appropriate training. Please mention the problem when completing the booking form.
Not all dogs can manage in a class situation
If in doubt, please book a 121 lesson prior to booking the class.
Our Classes
1) Your dog should be wearing a standard collar, clip or buckle type and/or a well-fitting harness with a standard lead (usually around 1½m long)
NOT a check chain, ½ check chain, slip lead, long lead or flexi lead.
2) Head collars may be worn as long as fitted and used correctly.
3) Poo bags (always essential.)
4) Your dog’s blanket or equivalent that they can settle on.
5) Lots of food treats. Manufactured dog food and treats will usually not manage to get your dog’s attention in a class situation. Real food such as meats, sausage, etc. usually will.
6) An interactive toy, e.g. a tugger. (Not a toy that has a squeaker in it because other dogs in the class will respond to your toy.)
7) A stuffed Kong or equivalent.
8) A grooming brush.
We limit most of our classes to 6 dogs in a class, the exception is agility where there are only 4 dogs per class.
Just let us know that you're unable to make a class and we'll help you catch up on the next session! Unfortunately, we aren't able to offer refunds for missed sessions.
Yes partners and spouses are allowed to attend classes with you.
Children are also welcome as long as they are not disruptive to the other clients and dogs attending the course.
Young children that may be disruptive are politely requested to not attend.
We expect dogs may behave badly in the beginning, (that is the reason you are attending a training course). Our job is to guide and train you!
Should we find that your dog is over aroused and disruptive to the rest of the class, we would offer to transfer you to 121 lessons.
If your dog is a persistent barker please request a one to one lesson prior to booking the course.
